Terms & Conditions
This is a Contract to which the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act applies.
Baek’s Taekwondo Academy hereby grants, and the undersigned accepts, a membership for the term outlined in the product description.
This membership entitles the undersigned member the use of this facility subject to the rules, regulations and operating hours as prescribed for the applicable classes.
Class times are subject to change, as required, to accommodate membership and class times.
Schedule ‘C’: Consumer’s Right to Cancel. You may cancel this contract within 10 days of entering into the contract. You do not need a reason to cancel. The initial fees and first months premium are non-refundable. After the initial term, membership will automatically renew on a month-to-month basis until either party gives 31 days written notice.
Pre-Authorized Payment Agreement:
I (we) authorize Baek’s Taekwondo Academy to draw recurring payments via cheque, prepare debits, paper or electronic, through Visa, MasterCard, Chequing or Savings Account covering all amounts due under the membership contract.
Billing and Collections:
If your account becomes 60 days delinquent or your automatic banking authorization and or cheques are returned , the entire balance of the agreement becomes due and payable within five days.
A late charge of $50.00 will be assessed on all returned payments and must be paid up front prior to resuming services.
Processing Fees and Cancellation Fees are to be paid up front before cheques, credit card and/or automatic automatic banking is resumed.
Freezing of Accounts:
Physical Disability
In the event that the Doctor orders that you cannot physically use the services provided by Baek’s Taekwondo Academy as a result of physical or mental disabilities for a minimum of 30 days up to a maximum of 90 days, you may freeze the agreement for that period of time without penalty. The remaining portion of your contract would resume following the lifting of the freeze.
Medical freeze is approved with written notice from your doctor.
In the event of medical termination, a processing fee of $100.00 will be assessed and $40.00 per month for the remaining term of the contract. Any outstanding debt is required to be paid in full at the time of cancellation.
Voluntary Freeze
A Member may freeze their account for up to 5 months by paying on half of their regular contract fee and a $50.00 processing fee. A written request is required in order to process the voluntary freeze request.
Baek’s Taekwondo Academy may, at it’s sole discretion, approve or reject any application for inactive membership. Members applying for inactive status must be current on their account. Under no circumstance will freezes be granted retroactively.
In the event of a voluntary cancellation the lesser of $400.00 or the remaining term of the contract will be charged. Any outstanding debt must be reconciled at the time of cancellation.
